Community soul. coastal heart.
Stockland Nara
Stockland Nara
overview
Stockland Nara is a new flagship community located in Fremantle, WA. The creative direction was guided by the positioning “Coastal soul. Community heart.”, capturing the unique blend of laid-back coastal lifestyle and vibrant local character that defines the area.
A key part of the concept was celebrating the people who make the place special. We introduced a bold, community-driven idea – Faces of Freo, which shines a spotlight on the locals who shape the neighbourhood, from small business owners to artists and families. This helped bring a strong sense of belonging and personality to the brand.
The visual system was built around an abstract painting, Daylight III, by Fremantle-based artist Jordy Hewitt. Her expressive use of colour and texture became the inspiration for a custom graphic that reflects the transition from sea to land. We used this as the backdrop within Stockland’s iconic ‘S’ device allowing the artwork to hero different elements across materials, whether portraits, product renders or headlines.
The brand was rolled out across brochure covers, signage and digital applications, with every touchpoint designed to feel warm, eclectic and unmistakably connected to the place.
