Right in the heart of Darling Square, Sydney is MySpec Optometrist. Founded 20 years ago, MySpec Optometrist is a full-service optical that offers a wide range of sunglasses and prescription eyewear.
With the ever-changing market of eyewear, multiple brands have definitely popped up offering their very own curated selection. At the same time, prices can also vary from brand to brand.
MySpec Optometrist's desire is to break barriers by allowing consumers to invest in their vision without the need to compromise quality or break the bank.

Process
Having the goal to reach a younger demographic of consumers, the visual identity of MySpec Optometrist needed to reconnect with its audience. Starting with its logo, the typography presents a clean and sophisticated style using a sans typeface. Complementing this is a minimalist monogram with two circles derived from the shape of an eye and lens. It symbolises transparency in product pricing which helps to fully embody MySpec Optometrist’s vision.
More so, the monochromatic colour palette helps the brand respond to its target market while giving a classy look and overall feel. Moving away from a playful brand identity to a straightforward logo, monogram, and colour palette overall enables the brand to apply it with ease and practicality.
Application
The fresh and revamped visual identity of MySpec Optometrist encapsulates simplicity. The elements are effortlessly applied to the brand’s products, shopping bags, visual merchandise, and signages. It effectively combines with the fresh interiors – targeting its audience and pushing it toward a successful business model.
